Transfer of a Kurdish citizen to Oshnavieh prison after acquittal
Kurdpa Agency: A Kurdish citizen from Oshnavieh was arrested after being issued a court order and transferred to the city's prison for serving prison.
According to a report by the Kurdistan Press Agency, on Tuesday, December 24th, a Kurdish citizen, Shafie Faghizadeh, was arrested after being issued a court order and transferred to Oshnavieh prison for satisfaction of judgement.
This Kurdish citizen has recently been sentenced to five years in discretionary imprisonment and five years suspended imprisonment by the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Oshnavieh for "cooperating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government."
Following the citizen's appeal against the verdict, the sentence was changed to four years in discretionary imprisonment and five years suspended imprisonment in the Urmia Court of Appeal.
Shafie Faghizadeh was arrested by the Intelligence agents in February 2018 on charges of "collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government" and was released on bail after interrogations.
During the past few days, Abu Bakr Minapak, Kurosh Azizi, Yousef Ahmadi, Mohammad Amin Ghazi and Kamel Ahmadi Khanlar have been transferred to Oshnavieh Prison for serving their prison.
