Sanandaj; Security forces arrested an environmental activist during protests against the murder of Zhina Amini

This evening, Sunday, September 18th, an environmental activist named "Frank Rafiei" was arrested by the security forces and taken to an unknown place regarding the protests against the murder of Zhina Amini in "Azadi (Iqbal) Square" in Sanandaj.

 Today, Sunday, is the second day of protesting against the murder of Zhina Amini in Sanandaj, and these gatherings turned into violent with the intervention of security and counter-insurgency forces.

 The security and anti-riot forces shot at the protesters in these gatherings and several protesting citizens were injured by bullets.

 Also, the anti-riot forces used tear gas to disperse the protesters against the murder of Zhina.

 In these gatherings, dozens of protesters were arrested by the security forces and there is no accurate information about their fate.

 On Friday, September 16th, 22-year-old Zhina (Mehsa) Amini from Saqqez, who was in a coma as a result of a severe beating by the Morality Police, died in Kasra Hospital in Tehran, and on Saturday, September 17th,  His body was buried in the Aichi cemetery in Saqez with the large presence of people.
