Oshnovieh; Former political prisoner arrested by security forces
Loghman Azizi, a former political prisoner from Oshnoyeh, was arrested by security forces on Monday, June 21st.
Security forces affiliated with the Oshnovieh Intelligence Service arrested this citizen without issuing any court order.

Loghman Azizi was arrested by security forces on July 3, 2016 and transferred from the detention center of the Urmia Intelligence Office to Oshnovieh Prison on September 8, 2016.
This citizen was released on bail on October 1, 2016 and on March 13, 2017 in Branch 101 of the Oshnovieh Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Rezaei, on charges of "membership in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, conspiracy to act against national security and propaganda against the regime." He was sentenced to 16 years in prison. On June 28, 2017, Branch 10 of the Urmia Court of Appeals upheld the initial verdict for Mr. Azizi, dismissing him on charges of "conspiracy to act against national security."
