Environmentalist, Simko Marufi, was detained by security forces in Bokan

 On Monday, March 8th, Simko Maroufi, an environmental activist from Bokan, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.

 Authorities detained this member of the Walat Environmental Association without anycourt order.

 Simko Maroufi was arrested by security forces on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, after rallies in support of Rojava in Bokan, along with Jaka Ismailpour, Hooman Faizi, and Shaho Khezri who were arrested and transferred to Urmia Ettelaat Detention center for questioning and on Monday, October 28, 2019, were transferred to Bokan prison.

 This environmental activist was temporarily released on 150 million Tomans bail after being interrogated.

 This member of the Walat Environmental Association was sentenced to two years in prison on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, by Branch 2 of the Bokan Criminal Court on charges of "disturbing public order and participating in rallies in support of Rojava" and on Monday, February 3, 2020, he was transferred to Bokan Prison and was released in early December this year.

 so far, no information is available on the reason for the arrest and the charges against this environmental activist.
