Oshnavieh: Masoud Alani, a Kurdish Singer, Was Arrested and Transferred to an Unknown Location

August 15, 2026; On Saturday, August 15, 2026, "Masoud Alani Kohneh-Qaleh", a Kurdish singer from the village of "Singan" and resident of Oshnavieh, was arrested by security forces without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.

According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa; on the afternoon of Saturday, August 15, 2026, "Masoud Alani Kohneh-Qaleh", a Kurdish singer from the village of "Singan" and resident of Oshnavieh, was arrested in a café in Oshnavieh by security forces of the Intelligence Office without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location. Security forces then raided his home in Oshnavieh and, without a legal warrant, confiscated and impounded the mobile phones of his wife and daughter and took them away.

Until the time of publication of this news, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest and possible charges against this singer, and security forces have offered no explanation in this regard. Additionally, this Kurdish citizen is deprived of the right to access a lawyer, family visits, and telephone calls.

"Masoud Alani Kohneh-Qaleh" is a well-known Kurdish singer in Oshnavieh and, due to singing patriotic Kurdish songs, has been summoned and arrested multiple times.
