Today marks her 46th day of arbitrary detention, and her hunger strike remains ongoing as she demands clarification of her legal status.

An informed source confirmed the details to Kurdpa, stating: Zahra Mohammad-Vali has been on a dry hunger strike for 10 days in Ilam Prison. Although she was recently granted the right to a family visitation due to her critical health situation resulting from the strike, she continues her hunger strike into its tenth day.

Zahra Mohammad-Vali, a 27-year-old Kurdish woman originally from Abdanan and a resident of Dehloran, was arrested by security forces on May 23, 2026, without a judicial warrant. She was initially transferred to an undisclosed location before being moved to the Central Prison of Ilam.

To date, the underlying reasons for her arrest remain unknown, and security agencies have provided no official explanation regarding her case. Furthermore, she continues to be denied access to legal counsel.
