June 19, 2026; following five months since the arbitrary detention and lack of information on the fate of "Soroush Karami," an 18-year-old Kurdish youth from Kermanshah, he was transferred to the security ward of Dieselabad Prison of Kermanshah in recent days after being charged with "Moharebeh" (enmity against God).

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated: Soroush Karami, who was arrested during the December 2025/January 2026 protests in Kermanshah and whose fate was unknown for over 5 months, was transferred to the security ward of Dieselabad Prison of Kermanshah on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and has been formally charged with "Moharebeh."

According to this informed source, the case of this political detainee was investigated in the 16th Interrogation Branch of Kermanshah and was recently referred to one of the branches of the Revolutionary Court of Kermanshah for judicial proceedings.

Kurdpa had previously reported on February 12, 2026—marking the 43rd day of the arbitrary detention and absolute lack of news regarding Soroush Karami—that there was no information available about his fate and place of detention. This 18-year-old Kurdish youth from Kermanshah was arrested by security forces without a judicial warrant on the evening of January 8, 2026, concurrent with popular protests in the "Maskan" neighborhood of Kermanshah, the bloody crackdown on citizens, and arbitrary detentions, and was transferred to an unknown location.

This informed source states: Soroush Karami was transferred to Dieselabad Prison after being held for 5 months and 10 days in detention and undergoing interrogation in a solitary cell at one of the security detention centers of the Intelligence Department of Kermanshah.

Over the past 5 months, despite repeated follow-ups by his family, no institution or agency answered for his situation and fate. Throughout this entire period, he was deprived of the right to any visitation with his family, as well as access to a lawyer.
