Dehloran/Ilam; Violent Arrest of Mojtaba Kakaei and Transfer to an Unknown Location

June 19, 2026; in continuation of the wave of arbitrary detentions of Kurdish citizens in Ilam Province, "Mojtaba Kakaei," a 40-year-old Kurdish citizen from the city of Dehloran, was violently arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated: On the evening of Wednesday, June 17, 2026, security forces raided the home of this Kurdish citizen without presenting a judicial warrant, violently arrested him, and transferred him to an unknown location. According to this source, this arrest was accompanied by threats and intimidation of his family members, as well as the beating and use of violence against Mojtaba Kakaei.

Until the publication of this report, the reasons for the detention of this Kurdish citizen remain unknown, and security agencies have provided no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, since the time of his arrest, he has been deprived of the right to contact and meet with his family, as well as access to a lawyer.
