Mahabad؛ Wahab Hosseinzadeh Was Released After 81 Days of Arbitrary Detention Upon Depositing a Heavy Bail

June 8, 2026; On Monday, June 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen named "Wahab Hosseinzadeh" from the city of "Mahabad" was temporarily released from the prison of this county after 81 days of arbitrary detention upon depositing a bail of 10 billion Tomans.

According to an informed source, this citizen was transferred to the prison of the city of "Mahabad" from a security detention center after the completion of the interrogation phases, and during his detention, he was deprived of access to a lawyer and meetings with his family.

In the early hours of Friday, March 20, 2026, security forces arrested this young Kurdish man without being presented with a judicial warrant and transferred him to an unknown location.
