May 29, 2026; In the continuation of pressure on the families of political activists outside of Iran, the family of "Said Saidi", a political activist abroad and a former political detainee from Urmia, have been repeatedly summoned, threatened, and placed under pressure by security agencies during recent months to disclose his location. Also, the bail for the release of this former political detainee, amounting to 3 billion Tomans, has been confiscated.

An informed source, while confirming this news, told Kurdpa; the family of "Said Saidi", who are residents of the town of "Dizaj Mergavar" of Urmia in the province of "West Azerbaijan", have been repeatedly summoned, pressured, and threatened by the Intelligence Organization of the IRGC of Urmia during the past month. Also, security forces have referred to the home of this family several times without presenting a judicial warrant and, while threatening and harassing the family members, extensively searched their home to obtain the location of Said Saidi outside of Iran.

On the other hand, in the continuation of the pressures on the family, considering that "Said Saidi" was previously among the political detainees and a deed had been placed in the possession of judicial authorities for submission of bail, his family was forced to pay 3 billion Tomans in favor of the government to prevent the confiscation of the deed. In such a way that the family, to prevent the confiscation of the property, was forced to sell a piece of garden and a car to be able to pay the designated amount and release the deed.

Based on the documents received by Kurdpa regarding the bail documents, Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia, on March 12, 2024, after months of arbitrary detention, issued a bail acceptance order for the temporary release of Said Saidi and communicated it to the Central Prison of Urmia. Also, one day later, on March 13, 2024, the Detention Branch of the Deeds and Properties Registration Department of District One of Urmia officially seized this property and placed it in the status of "legal detention".

The record of the detention of Said Saidi; Said Saidi was arrested on December 30, 2023, and was under arbitrary detention for a period of four months, three months of which he spent in one of the security detention centers in Urmia. He was then transferred to the Central Prison of Urmia and spent another month in this prison, while being deprived of the right to temporary release. Simultaneously, security case-building was carried out against him, and his case had been transferred to Tehran.

Subsequently, due to the repeated follow-ups of the family and the inappropriate physical condition of "Said Saidi" during the period of detention, he was finally granted a three-day furlough with a bail of 3 billion Tomans. Following that, considering the continuation of security case-building, deprivation of temporary release, and the probability of the issuance of heavy sentences, he left Iran and took refuge in one of the neighboring countries.

Also, after his departure from Iran, his family had been informed that his case faced heavy charges and the probability of the issuance of a death sentence for him existed.

This is while the activities of "Said Saidi" outside of Iran have no connection to his family. In a conversation with Kurdpa, he emphasized that the responsibility for his departure from Iran and his political activities lies upon himself, and his family should not be placed under pressure, summons, and threats by security agencies due to his activities.
