Dalaho; Killing of two Kurdish Yarsan brothers after months of being pursued following the Dey protests Mojtaba Veisi and Meysam Veisi

Two Kurdish Yarsan brothers from Dalaho, named "Mojtaba Veisi" and "Meysam Veisi," who had been pursued by security forces with the intention of arrest since the protests of Dey 1404, were killed on the dawn of Thursday, May 28, 2026, while hiding in a village, after being targeted by direct gunfire from the IRGC Intelligence security forces.

Furthermore, a video received by Kurdpa shows that Mojtaba Veisi, who had previously been repeatedly summoned by security institutions, was pressured during a phone call to present himself to the security agency without a judicial warrant; while the security agent, disregarding his circumstances, demanded that he not inform his family about this matter.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, said: Two Kurdish Yarsan brothers from Dalaho, named "Mojtaba Veisi" and "Meysam Veisi," who had been pursued by security forces with the intention of arrest since the protests of Dey 1404 and were hiding in the village of "Qaleh Kahosh" in the county of Dalaho in the province of Kermanshah, were killed after their hiding place was identified by the IRGC Intelligence security forces, and the village and the house where they were hiding were attacked by the forces of the IRGC.

Following the state-sponsored murder of these two Yarsan brothers, their bodies were transferred by the armed forces of the IRGC and have not yet been handed over to their families.

So far, no further details regarding the state-sponsored murder of these two brothers are available, and the question remains: why did the IRGC Intelligence forces deal with these two young men, whom they had been trying to arrest for months, with such a level of violence and direct gunfire? However, one of the activists of the Yarsan community said in this regard to Kurdpa: After the protests of Dey 1404 and the violent crackdown and widespread killing of protesters, especially in the areas of "Dareh-Deraz (Dareh-Derizh)" in Kermanshah, where most residents are followers of the Yarsan faith, a widespread process for the arrest or elimination of individuals has begun with the aim of intimidating the society, and security forces operate with a free hand in dealing with these individuals and activists; an issue that can lead to direct, targeted, and lethal gunfire against them.

Meysam and Mojtaba Veisi were brothers, and both were married and had a young child.

They were cultural and civil figures, followers of the Yarsan faith, and founders of the library in the town of "Dareh-Derizh (Dareh-Deraz)" in Kermanshah.

Mojtaba Veisi was also a well-known wrestler who had won provincial titles, and was also active in music and painting.

On the other hand, Mojtaba Veisi was arrested in 1403 and repeatedly summoned to the Intelligence Office.

On March 6, 1405, Mojtaba Veisi was arrested by security forces without a judicial warrant and by resorting to violence in "Shirin" Park in Kermanshah and was transferred to an unknown location; while he was with his young daughter, and the security forces had abandoned his daughter at the same location. The reason for his arrest was stated as preparing for the holding of Nowruz ceremonies in Kermanshah along with several other cultural activists. He was released temporarily on March 30, 1405 on a bail of 700 million tomans from Dizel-Abad Prison in Kermanshah; while during his detention, he had been deprived of access to a lawyer and meetings with his family. Mr. Veisi had been interrogated during his detention at the Kermanshah Intelligence Office detention center and, after the interrogation stages were finished, had been transferred to the Dizel-Abad Prison in this city.

 

The objective text of a conversation between a security agent and Mojtaba Veisi in a phone call lasting 3 minutes and 41 seconds with the aim of summons and interrogation;

  • "Security Agent: Mojtaba, you didn't come today?
  • Mojtaba: I cannot, there is no one at the library.
  • Security Agent: If you come, you come, otherwise you will be arrested.
  • Mojtaba: If you send me a court document, I will come, otherwise, I honestly will not come. I swear by my child's life that I have no problem and I do not suspect anything against myself. I swear by the life of Agha Seyed Nasreddin (the great elder of Yarsan), I will cut my own veins. What do you want from me? What is my problem? You gave me your own prison, you put my name on the list of thugs. Tell me what I have done. Send a letter from the prosecutor's office, I am at your service; but I will not come with these calls. I do not suspect anything against myself. You have unfairly troubled me and caused stress in my family. I swear by my child's life, I will burn myself, enough is enough.
  • Security Agent: Did you raise your voice?
  • Mojtaba: I raised my voice because I am upset, otherwise I am not a tough guy.
  • Security Agent: Mr. Veisi, we invited you in a friendly manner.
  • Mojtaba: My brother, I said you are a good person, but get the court order, I will obey, I am at your service.
  • Security Agent: I invited you in a friendly manner.
  • Mojtaba: For example, even if it were hostile, what is my problem? What have I done? I did not post a protest story, I did not protest. The people are crushed by the high cost of living, but I have not even had anything to do with the high cost of living or anything else.
  • Security Agent: We wanted to talk in a friendly manner.
  • Mojtaba: I cannot come. My wife is sick, and I have a problem, and I have to go to prison in 20 days.
  • Security Agent: Mr. Veisi, I think you should come so we can talk in a friendly manner.
  • Mojtaba: I am saying you come yourself, and we will talk. With a document or anything, come, I will sign it for you, execute me after that. My place is known, I am at the library and I have no problem. I have not even posted a single protest story, and I have nothing to do with these issues.
  • Security Agent: I know and am aware of everything, but I and a few of my friends want to talk to you. Mojtaba:
  • You or whoever wants, come to the library and we will talk. I cannot come. My wife is sick, and I cannot cause stress for my wife, my child, and my family.
  • Security Agent: That is your problem. Do not tell your family.
  • Mojtaba: Should my family not be informed?
  • Security Agent: You are the one causing this stress for your family.
  • Mojtaba: Sir, just the fact that you call is stress. Calling anyone causes stress and unhappiness. Does that mean I should not tell my family?
  • Security Agent: Tomorrow at one-fifteen, you must be here.
  • Mojtaba: I cannot. If you come yourself, I am here at home; otherwise, I cannot."
