Urmia: Forouzan Nojavan (Eslami) Transferred to Urmia Prison After Completion of Interrogation Phases
May 24, 2026; Over the past few days, Forouzan Nojavan (Eslami), an English language teacher from Urmia and the head of the "Nojavan" Language Academy, was transferred to the women's ward of the central prison of this city after the completion of her interrogation phases.
According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa, this English language teacher informed her family during a phone call that she has been transferred to the women's ward of Urmia Prison.
The informed source added: The Interrogation Branch of the Public and Revolutionary Court of Urmia has denied temporary release on bail for Ms. Nojavan, and she has been deprived of access to a lawyer and visitations with her family up to this point.
On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Forouzan Nojavan (Eslami), the head of the "Nojavan" Language Academy, was arrested by security forces without a judicial warrant and was transferred to the "9 Peleh" security detention center in Urmia for interrogation.
