Sarableh/Ilam; 3 days of arbitrary detention and lack of news regarding the fate of Mohammad Reza Faryadi

May 16, 2026; following the passage of 3 days since the arbitrary detention of a young Kurdish man from Ilam named "Mohammad Reza Faryadi," there is still no information available regarding his fate and place of maintenance.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, said: "Mohammad Reza Faryadi," son of Shahsavar and from the city of "Sarableh" in the vicinity of Ilam Province, was arrested on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location.

Until the publication of this news, there is no information regarding the reasons for the detention of this young Kurdish man, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, his relatives have expressed severe concern over his life and fate.
