Saqqez; Peyman Rahmanpour a Kurdish youth lost his life due to a mine explosion

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, a Kurdish youth named "Peyman Rahmanpour," 21 years old, from the village of "Khorkhoreh" in the vicinity of the city of Saqqez, lost his life due to the explosion of a mine left over from the war era.

This citizen met with the mine explosion accident in the heights surrounding the village of "Khorkhoreh" and his body has been transferred to the forensic medicine of the city of Saqqez.

According to statistics recorded at the statistics center of the Kurdpa Human Rights Organization, from the year 2012 to the year 2025, a total of 482 civilians have fallen victim to the explosion of mines and war equipment in Iranian Kurdistan.
