Iraqi Kurdistan Region: 6 "Peshmerga" Killed and More Than 20 Wounded Following Missile Attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran
On the early morning of Tuesday, March 24, 2026, following missile and drone attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran on one of the "Peshmerga" force centers in the "Iraqi Kurdistan Region", 6 "Peshmerga" lost their lives and more than 20 others were wounded.
According to reports, these attacks, involving the firing of six ballistic missiles and the use of drones, targeted the "Peshmerga Forces Center 7" in the "Spilik" area, located in the "Khalifan" district of "Soran" county in the province of "Erbil". According to the "Kurdistan Region" media, these attacks were carried out in two stages, and a number of missiles were also destroyed in the sky.
The "Ministry of Peshmerga" of the "Iraqi Kurdistan Region" and local media have announced the names and details of the deceased "Peshmerga" as follows:
"Shahab Barindar Bikhshashi", 49 years old, "Peshmerga" with the rank of Captain, married and father of 5 children, son of one of the victims of the "Anfal" operations
"Zekri Shaker Bikhshashi", 35 years old, married and father of 5 children
"Rebar Abdullah Mulla Ahmad", 26 years old, "Peshmerga" with the rank of First Lieutenant, who was scheduled to be married in one month
"Ramin Adel Ormari", 26 years old, "Peshmerga" with the rank of First Lieutenant and married
"Keyvan Mozaffar Qader", 24 years old, whose father was wounded in the war against "ISIS" and lost a hand and a leg; he had married 9 months ago and lost his life while attempting to rescue the wounded
"Pashtiwan Mulla Moussa", 26 years old, married
Meanwhile, reports indicate that these attacks took place within the framework of escalating conflicts between "Iran" and "USA-Israel", and during this period, more than 400 missile and drone attacks have been carried out against the "Iraqi Kurdistan Region".
According to published statistics, as a result of these attacks so far, 8 "Peshmerga" from Iranian Kurdish parties, 6 "Peshmerga" from the "Iraqi Kurdistan Region", and one French soldier have lost their lives in "Erbil".
