Mahabad: Chia Nasrollahi Released on Bail

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Chia Nasrollahi, a resident of Mahabad, was temporarily released from prison in the city after posting bail.

According to a reliable source, this Kurdish citizen was transferred to Mahabad prison following the completion of his interrogation and was released on temporary bail set at 5 billion tomans (approximately USD equivalent depending on exchange rate).

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, security forces arrested the 38-year-old without presenting a court warrant at his workplace in the Beri Shilanan neighborhood of Mahabad.
