Sarveh Pourmohammadi, Member of the “Nozhin” Cultural-Social Association, Summoned to Serve Prison Sentence

Sarveh Pourmohammadi, a member of the Nozhin Cultural-Social Association, has been summoned to prison to begin serving her sentence.

On April 7, 2025, she received a court summons requiring her to report to prison for the execution of her sentence.

Her 10-year prison sentence was reduced to 5 years by the Court of Appeals. This revised verdict was officially delivered to her lawyers on Monday, November 27, 2023.

Previously, the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court, Branch One, presided over by Judge Karami, had sentenced her to 10 years in prison on charges of "forming a group with the intention of disrupting national security." This ruling was communicated to her on Thursday, October 26, 2023, through her attorneys Dr. Jwameer Abdollahi and Heyman Majidi.

On Monday, February 13, 2023, Sarveh Pourmohammadi was temporarily released on bail from the Sanandaj Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center pending the finalization of her legal case.

She had previously been arrested on Sunday, January 29, 2023, by security forces while following up on the status of detained members of the Nozhin Association at the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court.
