Second Day of Family’s Sit-in Outside Urmia Prison:

For the second consecutive day, Hamid’s family staged a sit-in outside Urmia Central Prison, calling for the revocation of the execution order and asserting both his innocence and the lack of any credible evidence against him.

Kurdpa's Ongoing Coverage of the Situation (As of 3:00 PM, April 18, 2025)

Kurdpa news agency reported the following:

Hamid Hosseinnezhad Heydaranlou remains in an uncertain condition under the custody of the Intelligence Department in Urmia.

He briefly contacted his family, requested legal follow-up, but the call was abruptly disconnected.

His family is concerned about the risk of renewed torture or forced confessions aimed at justifying the execution.

Over the past 11 months of solitary confinement and interrogation, Hamid was subjected to extreme psychological torture. He was coerced into false confessions through threats against his wife, claims of his brother’s death, and interrogations of family members, including forcing them to declare that they had severed ties with him during his time in Turkey.

Morning Update from Kurdpa: Unknown Whereabouts After Transfer to Intelligence Office

Earlier today, Kurdpa also reported:

No information is currently available about Hamid’s condition after he was transferred yesterday evening to the Intelligence Office.

Once again, his family gathered this morning outside the prison, demanding the halt of what they call an unjust and irreversible death sentence.

A family member was informed inside the prison that the Prosecutor has submitted a request for clemency, but despite this, the family remains deeply worried and desperate for any information about their son’s fate.
