Oshnavieh: Masoud Khezri and Abubakr Khatami Temporarily Released on Bail

On Thursday, April 10, 2025, two Kurdish citizens from Oshnavieh — Masoud Khezri and Abubakr Khatami — were temporarily released from the city’s prison after posting bail.

According to an informed source, both individuals were released on bail of 700 million tomans each, pending the conclusion of their legal proceedings.

In the early morning of Monday, March 17, 2025, Abubakr Khatami, a resident of Tachinabad in Oshnavieh, was arrested without a judicial warrant following a security raid on his home, reportedly in connection with Nowruz (Persian New Year) celebrations.

On the evening of Sunday, March 16, 2025, Masoud Khezri, from the village of Shahvaneh, a district of Oshnavieh, was also arrested by security forces. So far, no official information has been released regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges against him.
