Saqqez: Civil rights activist Nariman Randani re-arrested by security forces

On Wednesday, April 9, 2025 (corresponding to 20 Farvardin 1404), Nariman Randani, a civil rights activist from Saqqez, was re-arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to a reliable source, the activist was detained without a judicial warrant at his workplace by security agents.

Previously, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 (7 Esfand 1403), Nariman Randani was temporarily released from Saqqez prison after posting bail of 600 million tomans.

This activist had earlier been transferred to Saqqez prison after undergoing interrogation at a security detention center in Sanandaj.

On the evening of Wednesday, January 24, 2025 (3 Bahman 1403), Randani—who is involved in arts and music—was arrested without a judicial warrant in connection with the “No to Executions” general strike by security forces.
