Quchan; Mehran Rahimi, a Kurdish artist, was released on bail after being arrested

After the security forces raided the home of on February 25, 2024, to arrest Mehran Rahimi, a Kurdish artist Mehran Rahimi from Quchan, and failed to arrest him, this Kurdish artist was arrested by security forces on February 26, 2024, and after being charged, he was released on bail after 4 days.

Mr. Rahimi, who had been transferred to the city of "Razo Jergalan" after being arrested, was under severe pressure before being arrested that he had to introduce himself to the security agencies of "Razo Jergalan" in North Khorasan province, otherwise wherever they arrived, he had more than a year sentence.

On February 25, 2024, security forces raided the home of Mehran Rahimi, a Kurdish artist from Quchan, with a warrant for arrest and when they realized he was not at home, they pressured his family to introduce Mr. Rahimi to the security agencies.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa; Mr. Rahimi has received several warning messages and has been pressured not to wear Kurdish clothes and sing Kurdish songs. Security forces accuse him of "supporting hypocrites and terrorist groups" and say Mr. Rahimi is "anti-revolutionary".

Mehran Rahimi, a Kurdish artist from Quchan, is from Khorasan Razavi province. He has sung songs in support of the Kurdish language and culture and has been pressured and threatened by security agencies many times for this reason.

According to informed sources; the sensitivity of security agencies to the Kurdish language and dress is so high that they can issue heavy sentences for activists and citizens of this region on the pretext and on charges of supporting the "anti-revolution".
