Abdanan; summoning and taking a compulsory commitment from Sonia Sharifi to prevent her from activity on social media

On February 26, 2024, Sonia Sharifi, one of the detainees of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi in Abdanan, was summoned to the court of this city and forced to commit to refrain from activity on social media.

According to Isa Baziar, a political activist from Abdanan who published this news on his X page; on the event of the Islamic Republic's parliamentary elections, a new wave of summoning and interrogation of civil activists by "Yaser Khalafi", the prosecutor of Abdanan, has begun.

On August 9, 2023, Sonia Sharifi, a 17-year-old student from Abdanan and one of the detainees of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi, was forcibly taken into a car and beaten by security forces at the entrance of this city following a summons to the Abdanan Intelligence Office.

This protester of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi was interrogated, threatened, and beaten by security forces for two hours in a car and in an unknown location and then left wounded in the same place.

Ms. Sharifi had been summoned by phone to the Abdanan Intelligence Office. This was while she did not live in the city of Abdanan due to the pressure of the Sepah and the Ministry of Intelligence and had referred to the Abdanan Intelligence Office at the insistence of her family.

She sarcastically wrote on Instagram after being beaten by security forces with a picture of her wound; "What do you think the story is?"

On December 15, 2022, Sonia Sharifi was released from the Ilam Correction and Education Center by depositing a bail and warmly welcomed by the citizens.

She was arrested on November 19, 2022, in connection with the protests in Abadan and accused of "waging war". Sonia Sharifi was forced to confess to making Molotov cocktails and slogan writing during interrogation.
