Piranshahr; summoning a journalist to the intelligence office and confiscating his mobile phone

On February 2, 2024, a local journalist named "Avat Mam Salim" alias "Avat Bruno" was summoned and interrogated by the intelligence office of Piranshahr, and his mobile phone was confiscated.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa, this journalist was summoned to the intelligence office of Piranshahr due to his activities and reporting on the funeral and burial of three mountaineers from Naghadeh on January 18, 2024, and Faryar Amini-Pour, a young fighter from Saqqez.

This informed source added; that the security forces confiscated the mobile phone of this journalist and published stories against the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian regime and the call related to February 11 (22 Bahman) on his Instagram page.

Avat Mam Salim is a journalist for the news website "Kurdpayam". He was released after several hours of interrogation.
