Kurdistan in unity and exemplary self-organization for the grief of losing three mountain climbers from Naghadeh
On January 18, 2024, the bodies of three climbers from Naghadeh Reza Kayshi, Mohsen Azizi, and Mohammad Royan were buried in the cemetery of "Kuh-e Sultan Yaqub" with the presence of thousands of people from Kurdistan.
Thus, their bodies were placed next to the tomb of the famous Kurdish climber "Mohammad Oraz".
Informed sources of Kurdpa estimated the presence of people in this ceremony at more than 40,000 and said that people from all cities of Kurdistan had attended the funeral of these three climbers. The presence of more than 40,000 people who were estimated to have formed a distance of more than five kilometers.
On January 12, 2024, five Kurdish climbers from the "Kavian" climbing group were trapped in the snowstorm in the "Randula" mountains of Oshnavieh, two of whom were rescued and the bodies of three others were found after six days of rescue operations.
From the beginning, the presence of people, especially the people of Oshnavieh and the villages near the "Randula" mountains, was very extensive for rescue and relief operations.
The Red Crescent team of Oshnavieh, along with the people's teams, spent six days searching for the climbers and as a result, after six days, the bodies of three climbers were pulled out from under the snow.
The source of Kurdpa says that the Red Crescent and people's teams did their best in very bad weather conditions. However, it should be noted that the Red Crescent in the cities of Kurdistan is not equipped with advanced and necessary relief equipment.
With the discovery of the bodies of these three climbers, the people of Kurdistan from the beginning welcomed the great grief of losing them in a unique unity and carried the bodies of these climbers from Oshnavieh to Naghadeh.
The people of Naghadeh and other cities also waited in the mosque of "Bilal Habashi" with a wide presence for the return of the bodies of three young men from the city.
They transferred the bodies of the climbers of the city to the mosque by playing the song "Laye by Laye" by Mamle, a famous Kurdish artist.
The forensic medicine in the mosque examined the bodies of these three climbers and diagnosed that their death was due to frostbite and they had not suffered any fractures or bruises.
According to informed sources of Kurdpa, the Security Council of Naghadeh tried to pressure the Sunni Imam of the mosque of "Bilal Habashi" to bury the bodies of these three climbers as soon as possible and at night. However, due to the widespread presence of people and their opposition, the ceremony was postponed to the next day.
On January 18, 2024, the people of Kurdistan, in a unique solidarity and self-organization, mourned the deep loss of three young climbers and made a historical movement of people's unity.
