December 7, 1402; The anniversary of the government killing of Sepehr Azami, one of the martyrs of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi in Karaj
On December 7, 2022, Sepehr Azami, 24, from Sahneh City in Kermanshah province and a resident of Kamalshahr Karaj, was shot at by more than 70 shotgun pellets by the suppressive forces in Zafar 14 alley of Kamalshahr Karaj, two meters away from the target, during the fortieth-day ceremony of Hadis Najafi, one of the martyrs of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi, in such a way that blood was coming out of his eyes, ears and nose. He was hospitalized for 33 days at "Madani" hospital in Karaj but lost his life due to the penetration of four shotgun pellets into his brain and severe infection. The security agencies did not deliver the body of Sepehr Azami to his family for two days and prevented his burial in Chaharbagh, the previous place of family life, and the cemetery of Kermanshah. Finally, after two days, Sepehr's body was buried in Ali Eshtehard's Paradise with the presence of security forces and 10 members of his family.
The suppressive forces also put severe pressure on the Azami family to refrain from holding the funeral and fortieth-day ceremonies.
The seventh-day ceremony of Sepehr Azami coincided with the fortieth ceremony of Mehdi Hazrati, which the suppressive forces prevented by closing the cemetery door, and the fortieth ceremony of Sepehr coincided with the seventh ceremony of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, which the suppressive forces again prevented, and even two days later they prevented the holding of Sepehr's birthday ceremony on his grave.
Sepehr Azami, son of Mohammad Reza and Farideh, was born on February 14, 1999, and was a hairdresser.
