Hashem Saedi, the father of Sarina Saedi, has been sentenced to six and a half months in prison and 40 lashes

Hashem Saedi, the father of Sarina Saedi, has been sentenced to six and a half months in prison and 40 lashes by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court in Bokan.

According to an informed source, Mr. Saedi was accused of "disturbing public order," and this sentence was communicated to him on Monday, July 3rd.

On Tuesday, June 20th, this citizen was temporarily released from Bokan prison after depositing a bail of one hundred million tomans.

During his detention, Mr. Saedi was deprived of access to legal representation and visits with his family.

On June 9, 2023, Hashem Saedi was arrested along with families of the victims from Sanandaj, Dehgolan, and Divandareh after the conclusion of the commemoration ceremonies for the fallen in the revolutionary uprising for woman,  life, freedom in Aichi graveyard in Saqqez, graveyard in Bokan. The arrests occurred at the entrance of the city of Saqqez by security forces.

On October 27, 2022, Sarina Saadi, a 16-year-old and the daughter of Hashem Saedi, suffered a brain hemorrhage and lost her life due to beatings by repressive forces and receiving baton blows during the protests on October 26, 2022), protests. She was hospitalized for one day before passing away.
