Kurdpa human rights organization condemns the behavior of representatives (gongos) of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Kurdpa’s representative at the UN headquarter
During the 52nd regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, the gongos tried to harass, provoke and intimidate Dr. Kocher Wallad Begi as she was presenting her statement in a Kurdish outfit!
The Islamic Republic of Iran, which is one of the enemies of freedom of speech and the freedom of non-governmental organizations, has been sending representatives in the form of non-governmental organizations to the regular sessions of the United Nations Human Rights Council in recent years. These delegates, whose number increases year by year, have a mission to defend the human rights situation in Iran and at the same time put pressure on the representatives of Iranian human rights organizations abroad in different physical and psychological ways.
While condemning these actions of the Islamic Republic and its so-called representatives in the UN Human Rights Council, the Kurdpa human rights organization demands special attention be paid to this type of action by the representatives of the regime and not to allow this type of behavior to be repeated. The increase in the number of representatives of the regime in the form of non-governmental organizations in the UN meetings can lead to the deviation of attention to the human rights situation in Iran.
