Political Reason is Behind of Disappearing a University Lecturer from Mahabad

Kurdpa Agency: The fate of one of the former members of scientific committee of Islamic Azad University- Branch of Mahabad is uncertain.
According to the Kurdistan Press Agency Report, during the past few days, Dr., Mansoor Sohrabi has left his house, and there is still no news about what has happened to him.
This Kurdish Citizen alongside two other lecturers at Azad University of Mahabad has been suspended from teaching since the end of August 2013.
An associate has informed Kurdpa agency that today Sunday has been four days that he has disappeared.

According to the friends and relatives of Dr. Sohrabi, there is a political plot for his disappearance. Intelligence Office is behind this, and they are aware of his situation.
Sohrabi has obtained PhD in agriculture and has been continuously publishing his articles in the magazines and blogs. Mansoor is 40 years old, married and he of father of a child.
This lecturer dismissal is coincident with Scientific Ministry of Eleventh Government decision about forming a committee to reinstate the dismissed lecturer and students to the universities.
During Cultural Revolution period, thousands of people were deprived and retired from education due to political and ideological reasons.

The associate has also explained, Dr, and Mansoor has been continuously summoned to the Security office in Mahabad. He has also said that:’’ last year, Azad University of Mahabad dismissed this lecturer based on a decision of Intelligence Ministry. Since then Intelligence Ministry has been trying to convince Dr. Mansoor to collaborate with them’’.
