Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) welcomed the recent US stance announced in the United Nations’ Security Council to condemn Iran’s missile attack on the party’s headquarters.

In a brief interview with the Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), Karim Parwizi, a member of the party’s Executive Board, welcomed the recent US position in the UN Security Council to condemn Iran’s missile attack on the party’s headquarters and said: “The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan welcomes any country’s or international organization’s stance recognizing the Islamic Republic of Iran as a terrorist regime. We believe that these kinds of stances should be stronger than they were in the past”.

“The tough stance of countries should be included actual steps toward putting a stop to Iran’s terrorism as well as supporting Iranian people in their way to fight the dictatorship of this Islamic apartheid”, he added.

Emphasizing on describing the Iranian regime as the source of terrorism and instability in the Middle-east, Parwizi told our reporter: “Neither terrorism nor genocide will not be eradicated if the regime still exists”.

Delivering a speech on Iran’s interference on the Middle-east countries during a UN Security Council’s meeting on Thursday, the 21st of September, US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley condemned the Iran’s missile attack on the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI)’s headquarters and described the action as “a blatant violation of International Law”.

“In a blatant violation of Iraqi sovereignty, the Iranian regime recently fired a barrage of missiles from Iran into Iraq. Iran attacked the headquarters of Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, killing eleven people. This was not an act of Iranian proxies but of the Tehran’s regime itself. It was Iran’s first direct military strike into Iraqi territory in over a decade. This Iranian interference in the sovereignty of Iraq should be of great interest to the Security Council for many reasons, not least of which is because it occurs in clear defiance of Security Council’s resolutions,” said Nikki Haley during the Thursday’s UN Security Council’s meeting.
