Oshnavieh; Mehran Soleimanpour was sentenced to 18 months in prison

A Kurdish citizen named "Mehran Soleimanpour" from the village of "Alian" in the "Dasht-e-Bill" district of ​​Oshnavieh was sentenced to 18 months in prison by the First Branch of the Oshnovieh Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Rezaei.

 According to an informed source, Mr. Soleimanpour's trial was held in the First Branch of the Oshnovieh Revolutionary Court on Sunday, March 13th, and the court sentenced him to 18 months in prison on charges of "collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government."

 On Thursday, July 15, 2021, this citizen was temporarily released from the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia on bail of 300 million Tomans until the end of the trial.

 Mr. Soleimanpour was denied "access to a lawyer" and "family visits" during his detention.

 On Thursday, June, 24, 2021, security forces raided the village of Alian and arrested Mehran Soleimanpour, along with another citizen named Hashem Khoran, without any court order, and transferred them to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia for questioning.

 During the arrest of these two citizens, security forces searched their homes and confiscated their personal belongings.
