Kurdpa: Our reliable sources have confirmed that in schools in Nosod city (in Kirmanshah province) school officials have levied imposed fees on parents contrary to the Article 30 of the Constitution and the General Director of the Ministry of Education in the Province must be held responsible.

Semi-officials Fars news agency reported from the city of Paveh that following a leak in the press in regards to the illegal collection of these fees from the students in the schools of Nosod District and subsequent follow-ups, it was confirmed that such illegal acts had, in fact, taken place.
According to the report, due to the negligence of the concerned officials, in some of the schools, the principles started to collect these illegal levies on the students disguised as ‘public donations’.

Following the complaints of the parents filed to the Governorate of the province, ministry of education officials agreed to investigate and disclose the extent of the levies on the students by the principles and relevant officials.
The Chair of the School Board of Trustees in the district had confirmed that according to the receipts submitted by the schools, the heating costs of the schools in the district had been 550 million Rial (US $50,000) while the allocated funds for heating schools was only half of the actual cost.
Another official with the School Board had further added that the deficit in heating cost in schools is collected from public donations, the municipality and the private sector.
The shortfall in the heating budget in schools has forced the schools officials to look for other illegal sources to fund school heating expenses, among other things.
