Mukhtar Zarei was sentenced to three years in prison

Kurdpa Agency: three year imprisonment was issued to a Kurdish civilian activist from Sanandaj.

Mukhtar Zarei, a civilian activist from Sanandaj, on his personal channel in Telegram wrote: \"On April 28th, 2019, the Court\'s verdict were announced to me in the presence of me which I only had the right to read the letter and the copy, which is to be summarized as follows.

Two years imprisonment for the crime of insulting the leader and a one-year imprisonment for the crime of propaganda against the regime. The court\'s ruling documents were the critical letter to the leader when I published on Instagram in the last year\".

On Saturday, April 13th, the session of trail of this civilian activist was conducted on \"insulting the leader of the Iranian government and spreading propaganda against the regime\" was held publicly in Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj.

The court session of this civilian activist was chaired by Judge Sharafi and was attended by civil society activists in Sanandaj and the general prosecutor\'s delegate.

Last January, the second branch of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj issued a three-year imprisonment sentence in absentia for Mukhtar Zarei.

This civil activist was sentenced to two years imprisonment for \"insulting the leader of the Iranian government\" and sentenced to one year in prison on charges of \"propaganda against the regime\".
