Mansur Arvand, Kurdish Political Prisoner Was Executed

Kurdpa: Kurdish political prisoner’s execution sentence was carried out following his transfer to Miandoab Prison.
Kurdpa has learned that early Sunday morning, 14 June, Mansur Arvand’s death sentence was carried out in Miandoab’s central prison.
A family member of the slain Kurdish political prisoner has confirmed Mansur’s execution.
His sentence was carried out despite rumours and unofficial decree that his death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment following his transfer to Mahabad Prison from Wurme Central Prison on 29 November 2014.
Mansur Arvand was arrested in June 2011 at his home. In September 2012, he was sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad charged with ‘Enmity with God’ by being member of a Kurdish opposition group.
