Kurdistan/11 Girls and Women Have Been victimized due to Landmine Explosion, Bombs, and Direct Shot of Military Forces in 2013

Kurdistan Press Agency: In the past year, 11 women and Girls in the Kurdish Residential Places have been either killed or wounded by the direct shot of Military Forces or landmine and bomb explosion. As a total, 5 of them have been killed, and the other six have been either wounded or disabled.
The table below clarifies how the Kurdish Girls and women have been killed and injured in 2013.
Hidden Landmine Killer
Despite of the promises given by the Governmental Officers to clean the Kurdish Residential Places involved with landmine and even executing some fast relating this removal, citizens comprising women are still getting killed and wounded by this landmine explosions.
In the evening of Saturday 28 May, a lady whose name is ‘’ Hasiba Saeed’’ from Saqez lost her left feet due to landmine explosion.
Approaching the last days of spring and only few days before summer, two sisters whose names were ‘’Ghazal’’ 20 years old and ‘’ Layla’’ 13 years old lost their lives due to landmine explosion while they were going to the Mountains of ‘’Quche’’ located in Urmia.
This hidden killer (Landmine) did victimize 7 citizens including three girls at the last few days of September.
On 18 October, three girls whose names were ‘’Gashbin Karimi, Behnoosh Moqadam, and Ala Robina’’ got wounded due to landmine explosion close to one of the evacuated barracks in ‘Nshkash’’ Village in Mariwan.
According to the confirmed statistics, about 4.2 millions hector of the 5 Governorates of Western Azerbaijan, Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Ilam, and Khuzestan’s area where have 1100 kilometers common border with Iraq, have landmine and left explosives of the era of 8 years war between Iraq-Iran.
According to the registered statistics from the Kurdistan Press Agency Data Center, during the past year, 38 Kurdish Citizens have been victimized due to landmine explosions and 10 of them have been killed.
Relying on this statistics, 6 citizens who are approximately 16 percent of landmine victims comprise women.
Also, according to the statistics registered in Kurdistan Press Agency Data Center, generally 90 Kurdish Citizens including three women have been either killed or injured in 2013 by the direct shot of Military forces and getting chased after by these forces.
On Saturday 16 August, a Kurdish Citizen whose name was ‘’Salar Abdolahi’’ lost his life by the direct shot of Military Forces of Iranian Islamic Government. Along with, his sister got injured badly in that incident, and was transferred to hospital for further treatments.
Approaching the last days of this Month (21 August) 2 Kurdish Citizens’ lives in the street close to ‘’Kawpech’’ Village in Bana got ended up by the direct shot of Military Forces.
Military Forces chased after the car of a citizen whose name was” Hamed Gawradary’’ doubting him to have smuggle, and as a result the daughter of that citizen, and someone else whose name was ‘’Ismael’’ got killed as the car was overthrown.
On the other hand, on Thursday 23 November, a girl whose name was’’ Awin Osmani’’ 18 years old lost her life after being shot by the Military Forces. She was shot by a person whose name is ‘’K.R.’’
At the end of May, a couple from Sarpel Zahaw located in Kermanshah lost their lives due to bomb trigger explosion.
Connected to this, On Monday 2 March, cannon explosion in the house of one of the families of Mehran in Ilam victimized three citizens.
In this incident, a citizen whose name was ‘’Hadi Poozesh’’ lost his life immediately and his father and wife got injured severely.
