Kurdish social media activist sentenced to three years in prison

Kurdpa Agency: The Revolutionary Court in Wrimya (Urmia) issues a three-year prison sentence to a Kurdish activist.
According to reports received by Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), the Revolutionary Court in Wrimya (Urmia) sentenced Kurdish activist “Farrokh Abdi” to three years imprisonment.
A source close to “Farrokh Abdi” told Kurdpa that Mr. Abdi was sentenced to three years imprisonment for creating a channel on Telegram. He was accordingly sentenced to two years on charges of “propaganda against the regime” and a one-year imprisonment charges with \"insulting the leader of the Iranian government. \"
The information office in Wrimya (Urmia) arrested “Farrokh Abdi” back in February 2018 where he was later transferred to the Central Prison in the city where he currently serves his sentence.
