Islamic Azad university lecturer was expelled from work in Boukan

Kurdpa agency: The head of Islamic Azad university in Boukan dismissed one of his lecturer from his position .He was allegedly a founder of student movements in the region.

According to Kurdpa News agency, Hemen Qahramani was expelled from his position following organizing a co-operative workshop in the Islamic Azad University in Boukan. He was a lecturer in the school of architect. Dr ziyai the president of University accused him of organizing political meeting. Therefore Mr Qahramani was banned from teaching and consequently dismissed from his position by the president of above-mentioned university. According to the same report the security (Herasat) office might be the reason for escalating the tension between this lecturer and the president of the university.

Following Mr Qahramani dismissal he published a statement and denying all the accusation against him. He also said that his intention was only to promote work ethic among the new Iranian Kurdish generation. He believes that the value and respect for artist and professor within the society have been declined. Mr Qahramani dismissal is in contradiction with Hassan Rouhani the president of Iran recent speech, when he said that universities should enjoy the critical thinking and opened minded atmosphere.

Hemen Qahramani has a master degree in architect. He started his artistic activity back in 1995. He has also participated in Muslim Student art exhibition, the first concept art festival, an exhibition of contemporary artists, a collective exhibition of Halabja Monument, the first sculpture symposium in Tehran, Second International Biennial of Mediterranean painting and sculpture in Croatia, and finally Second Biennial of the Gulf country Painting and conceptual art in Sanandaj.
