September 23, 2026 — On the evening of Tuesday, September 22, 2026, media outlets affiliated with Iranian security agencies broadcast a 101-second video of forced confessions from Arjin Jundi, a 16-year-old child arbitrarily detained in Piranshahr, with his face digitally blurred. The video was aired just 12 days after his arrest, a period during which he was subjected to an enforced disappearance without access to legal counsel, phone calls, or family visits. In the broadcast, the child is presented as the "perpetrator behind the killing of an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) member"—raising grave concerns that the IRGC Intelligence Organization is fabricating a judicial case to seek a death sentence against him.

An informed source confirmed the news to Kurdpa, stating that over recent days, a large number of IRGC Intelligence officers and local judicial officials escorted the 16-year-old back to the village of Kowpar, forcing him to re-enact the scene of the IRGC member's death.

While the broadcast forced confession claims the child was "deived" and forces him to state that "he and his mother were promised a large sum of money to migrate to Europe if he carried out the act," Kurdpa’s source clarified that Arjin lost his father in early childhood and was raised by his paternal uncle. His mother remarried years ago, lives in another location with a separate family and child, and did not raise Arjin.

Arjin Jundi, a 16-year-old native of Kowpar village near Piranshahr, was arrested on Friday, September 11, 2026, following a violent raid on his home by security forces without a judicial warrant. Since his arrest, he has been held in an undisclosed location, completely deprived of legal counsel and contact with his family. Furthermore, he completed only primary school and was unable to continue his education, with no intervention or support from the public education system.

On the evening of September 11, 2026, Eslam Kak-Darwishi, an IRGC member, was killed in Kowpar village. Following his death, IRGC forces and members of Kak-Darwishi's family vandalized and destroyed the home of Arjin's uncle, claiming the teenager was involved in the killing. Hours after the incident, a group calling itself "Khuri Hiva" claimed responsibility for the attack.

Concurrently with his arrest, Iranian state media reported that the IRGC Intelligence Organization had arrested the "killer" of the IRGC member, omitting the detainee's identity and age.
