September 24, 2026 — Two days after the arbitrary arrest of Pejman Amani, an 18-year-old Kurdish youth from Saqqez, his fate and whereabouts remain unknown. He has been completely deprived of access to legal counsel, family visits, and telephone contact. Furthermore, security forces illegally confiscated his mobile phone as well as those belonging to his family members.

An informed source confirmed the news to Kurdpa, stating: "Pejman Amani, an 18-year-old youth from Saqqez and son of Ebrahim, was arrested on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, after security forces raided his family home without presenting a judicial warrant. During the arrest, agents seized his personal phone along with those of his parents and brother without legal authorization, and none of the devices have been returned."

As of the publication of this report, the reasons for his arrest remain unknown, and security authorities have offered no official explanation regarding his case.
