The source, who spoke to Kurdistan Press Agency on condition of anonymity, said that “all those people who are working in these places carry weapons issued by the Revolutionary Guards, and nobody can stop them or file legal charges against them.”

“Drugs production is on such an high level that the Revolutionary Guard distribute drugs from Sardsht to all Kurdish cities and towns, and even to Iran as a whole”, the source also said.

The Revolutionary Guards illegal drugs production has caused concern and fear among residents in Sardasht, because local governmental authorities have silently accepted that the Revolutionary Guard produces and distributes drugs in Sardasht.

In an article published by Kurdistan Press Agency, Kurdish activist, Rebwar Ahmad Zadeh, writes that “Sardasht is now more known for the drug called Sisha (methamphetamine) than its green and stunning nature’’.

Residents in Sardasht believe that their city is the biggest center for drug distribution in all of Iran, and from there it is even sent to Iraqi Kurdistan.
