Iranian military forces attacked by an armed group in Baneh

Kurdpa Agency: An armed group attacked an Iranian military vehicle carrying soldiers and officers in Baneh, a city in west of Iran.
According to reliable sources, in the evening of 16th August, An Iranian military vehicle carrying soldiers and officers was attacked by an armed group on the Bardabook road leading to Baneh, left four Iranian forces killed and three others wounded.
In a statement, the Zagros Eagles Group claimed the responsibility for carrying out the operation and informed: “Kawsari, the top officer of Choman and Zaleh Border Regiment is one of the injured”.
In an interview with Tasnim News Agency, a semi-official website of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Mohammad Falahi, the Baneh governor confirmed the news and said: “the ‘anti-Revolution terrorist groups’ attacked a border police patrol vehicle on Thursday night, injuring four security forces.”
Perpetrators of the attack were on the loose and a manhunt was underway to catch them, Fallahi added.
The Islamic Republic of Iran calls the Kurdish opposition groups that are fighting to bring about self-determination right and freedom ‘anti-revolution terrorist groups’.
