Iranian forces shot at Kolbars, leaving one killed

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): A Kurdish Kolbar (porter), from the city of Mahabd, died of direct shots of Iranian military forces.

According to reports received by our agency, today, the 8th of November, a Kurdsih Kolbar, Salah Esfandwend, 28, from the city of Mahabd, was killed by Iranian military forces in border regions of Piranshar (Piranshahr).

\"\"The military forces shot at him without have given previous warnings, a reliable source told our reporter.

In another incident, a Kurdish Kolbar, Hooshiar Namami, from Salas Bawajani (Salas Babajani), died of gunshot wounds caused by direct shots of Iranian military forces on Saturday, the 3rd of November.

Hooshiar Namami was shot by Iranian military forces in a border region called Shekh Salah a few hours before his death.

In the same incident, two other Kurdish Kolbars, Broomand Bahrami and Arkan Bahrami were killed and injured respectively.

Kolbari (carrying goods on their backs from the Iraqi Kurdistan to the Iranian Kurdistan) in order to make a living is a dangerous job. The economic crisis in the Kurdish provinces of Iran, especially in the border regions, is one of the main causes of taking up this job by people.

Kurdish Kolbars who have to take up this job to earn a living often lose their lives due to different reasons such as being shot dead by the Iranian military forces, frostbite or landmine explosion.
