Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): A Kurdish Kolbar (porter), from Sardasht, was shot dead by the Iranian military forces.
According to reports received by our agency, today, the 5th of September, a Kurdish Kolbar (porter), Naser Ebrahimzadeh, from Gullan village in the city of Sardasht, was shot dead by the Iranian military forces.
Naser was shot without getting any previous warning from the Iranian forces in outskirts of Darmarjan, a village of Sardash.
On Saturday, the first of September, a Kurdish Kolbar, Mahmood Ketabi, 24, from Bana (Baneh) was shot dead by direct shoots of the Iranian military forces in a border region in Piranshar.
In an interview he previously had with the Kurdistan Press Agency about the cases related to killing Kolbars in border regions of Kurdistan, Mohammad Saleh Nikhbakht, a lawyer based in Tehran, said: “Should they apply the constitution’s articles regarding to using weapon by military forces in this country, these kinds of cases must be recognized as homicide ones and murderers must be executed for doing such crime”.
“However, all of the similar cases have been considered as “second degree murder” and “unintentional murder”. Therefore, murderers haven’t been tried for their crimes,” Nickbakht added.
Kolbari (carrying goods on their backs from the Iraqi Kurdistan to the Iranian Kurdistan) in order to make a living is a dangerous job.
Economic crisis in the Kurdish provinces of Iran especially in the border regions is one of the main causes of taking up the dangerous job by the people. Kurdish Kolbars who have to take up this job to earn a living more often lose their lives due to different reasons such as being shot dead by the Iranian military forces, frostbite or landmine explosion.
