Ejlal Qawami released on 20 million bail

Kurdistan Press Agency: A Kurdish journalist, from Sna (Sanandaj) was released on 20 million tomans bail after his first trial.

According to reliable sources, the first trial of Ejlal Qawami, a Kurdish human rights activist and journalist, from Sna, was held in the second branch of Beheshti Judicial Block today, 20th August.

He has been charged with ‘spreading propaganda to disturb public opinion’. He was released on 20 million tomans bail after his first trial.

Ejlal’s next trial on charge of ‘propaganda against the regime, to have interview with the opposition media and spreading lies and assault on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’ is to be held in the forth branch of the Sna’s Appeals Court on November 18, 2018.

Being activist as a human rights activist, Ejlal started his career as a journalist in the Iran newspaper in 2000 and has become one of the most famous Kurdish journalists.
