A Kurdish citizen, from Baha’i minority, sent to Sna Central Prison

Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa): A Kurdish, Baha’i citizen, from Sna (Sanandaj), was sent to Sna Central Prison.
According to reports from our correspondents on the ground, Zabihollah Raufi, 69, from the city of Sna, whom had previously been sentenced to one year’s imprisonment and one year’s transportation to the city of Minab in Hormozgan province, was sent to Sna Central Prison on Wednesday, the 31st of October.
Zabihollah Raufi was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment and one year’s transportation to the city of Minab in Hormozgan province in December, 2015. The verdict was upheld by the fourth branch of Sna Appeal Court in August, 2018.
Zabihollah was arrested by Iranian intelligence forces on September 8, 2015. He was released on bail six days of his arrest.
In 2009, he was for the first time arrested on charge of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran” and sentenced to one year’s imprisonment. The sentence was later on reduced to six months’ imprisonment in an appeal court in the city of Twiserkan.
Zabihollah’s wife, Parwaneh Rahmani, has been sentenced to one year’s imprisonment as well. Her appeal against the sentence has not yet been heard in Appeal Court.
