A detainee deprived of having access to lawyer and in-person family visit

Kurdistan Press Agency (kurdpa): A Kurdish citizen, from the city of Urmia, has been deprived of having access to lawyer as well as in-person family visit for more than seven months.
According to reliable sources, a Kurdish citizen, Esmat Salahshoor, son of Khorshid, from Falakan village in the city of Urmia, has been under interrogation in a detention place of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’s Intelligence Organization over the last seven months.
During his detention period, Esmat has been deprived of having access to lawyer as well as in-person family visit, our correspondent reported.
Esmat’s unknown situation has raised concern among his family, a source told our reporter.
Charged with ‘cooperating with a Kurdish opposition group’, Esmat Salahshoor was arrested by the Urmia branch of IRGC’s Intelligence Organization on May 4.
