3-year sentence prison for two Kurdish citizens

Kurdpa – Tow Kurdish citizens resident in Kamyaran (Kurdistan Province - West of Iran) were handed down a sentence 3 year prison by The Judicially system in Sanandaj City.
Based on a received report, Majid Rahmani and Taher Rahmani who are from a village called\" Lon Sadat\" located in the vicinity of Kamyaran were handed down a 3-year sentence behind bars.
They were convicted of cooperating with the opposition groups against the Islamic Regime of Iran .
Simultaneously several others identified as Kourosh Rahmani, Rzgar Rahmani, Ahmad Rahmani and Kourosh Yegane were arrested on August 4,2011, in the same place.
According to Kurdpa’s reliable statistics during the last 3 months until now 41 Kurdish citizens were handed down sentences to serve behind bars.
Majority of these prisoners are political and cultural activists.
