September 17, 2026; As part of an ongoing wave of attacks by IRGC and IRGC Intelligence forces targeting the families of political activists residing abroad, the elderly father of overseas political activist "Mohammad Qaderi" in Piranshahr was arbitrarily detained for several hours. Simultaneously, the family’s residence was raided, searched, and vandalized by IRGC Intelligence forces.
An informed source confirmed the details to Kurdpa, stating: On Thursday, September 17, 2026, IRGC Intelligence forces in Piranshahr summoned "Mam Aziz Qaderi"—the elderly father of overseas political activist Mohammad Qaderi and a resident of Pasveh, a suburb of Piranshahr—detaining him arbitrarily for several hours while subjecting him to intense interrogation. During his interrogation, a large contingent of IRGC Intelligence personnel raided the family home without presenting a warrant, conducting a violent and destructive search that damaged household belongings.
Following the seizure of his mobile phone, arbitrary detention, and interrogation, "Mam Aziz Qaderi" was released, though he remains under heavy threats and harassment despite his advanced age.
In recent days, the family residences of several other overseas political activists have similarly been targeted. In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 12, 2026, dozens of armed local IRGC operatives (known as "Jash") carried out night raids on the family homes of several political activists abroad, including "Aram Gerdi" and "Mohammad Yosefi." During these raids, forces severely assaulted family members and extensively vandalized property, resulting in injuries severe enough to require the hospitalization of multiple relatives.
