Mahabad; Temporary Release of Safa Rahmani on Bail After 114 Days of Arbitrary Detention

July 22, 2026 – A Kurdish citizen named "Safa Rahmani" from the town of "Gowk Tappeh" in Mahabad was released on bail on July 15, 2026, following 114 days of arbitrary detention and interrogation.
According to an informed source who spoke to Kurdpa, after the completion of his interrogation phase, he was transferred from a security detention center to Mahabad Prison. Throughout his detention, he was denied access to legal counsel and family visits.
Mr. Rahmani was arrested by security forces without a judicial warrant on March 22, 2026.
