The Islamic Republic Continues Attacks on Kurdish Parties; Drone Strike Targets Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran’s “Degala” Camp
July 2, 2026; On the evening of Wednesday, July 01, 2026, refugee camps belonging to the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI) and the main headquarters of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) across the Erbil and Sulaymaniyah provinces were targeted by missile and drone strikes.
Media outlets affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran reported that the “Degala” camp—a residential area housing political families near the town of Koya in Sulaymaniyah province—was hit by drone attacks. This camp has also been repeatedly targeted during the 40-day war and throughout the subsequent ceasefire period.
According to the report, the party's family camps, as well as its medical and educational centers, have been targeted more than 139 times during this period.
