Malekshahi/Ilam; Arbitrary Arrest of Civil Activist Saeid Asareh and Transfer to an Unknown Location

June 30, 2026; Today, Tuesday, “Saeid Asareh,” a cultural and civil activist from Malekshahi, Ilam province, was arbitrarily arrested by security forces without a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown destination.

To date, the grounds for the civil activist's arrest remain unknown, and security agencies have provided no official explanation regarding his case. Furthermore, following his transfer to an undisclosed location, he has been systematically denied access to legal counsel, family visitations, and telephone calls.
